Stone Bridge Personnel is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Forklift for a leading steel industry client in Fort Worth, TX. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on forklifts and heavy industrial equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Ideal candidates will have experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts (electric, propane, and diesel)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Repair or replace defective parts such as brakes, batteries, motors, and tires
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Ensure all equipment meets OSHA safety standards
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Conduct safety checks before equipment is returned to service
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized maintenance area
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
Proven experience in forklift or heavy equipment maintenance at least one year
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment
Basic computer skills for reporting and recordkeeping
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment no A/C conditions
Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
May require standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
Monday – Saturday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Location: Fort Worth
Pay: $18.00 hourly (paid weekly)
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA forklift certification
Experience with multiple forklift brands (Toyota, Hyster, Crown, etc.)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
