Stone Bridge Personnel is seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Apartment Maintenance Technician for our client in Tyler, TX.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on maintenance professional to lead the maintenance operations at a well-maintained apartment community. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform all aspects of apartment maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and general property upkeep
- Lead and mentor maintenance team members, delegating tasks and ensuring quality work completion
- Respond promptly to resident service requests and emergency maintenance calls
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively
- Perform apartment turns including painting, flooring, and preparation of units for new residents
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and fair housing laws
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of apartment or multi-family maintenance experience required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliance repair
- EPA/HVAC certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to be on-call for emergencies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
