Lead Maintenance Technician – Apartment Community
Stone Bridge Personnel is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join the team and oversee maintenance operations for an apartment community. Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day maintenance operations, supervise maintenance staff, and ensure our residents enjoy well-maintained homes. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong leadership skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
– Lead and mentor maintenance team members, providing guidance and training
– Schedule and coordinate daily maintenance activities and work assignments
– Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members
– Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards
Technical Maintenance
– Perform complex repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems
– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues
– Complete apartment turnovers, including painting, flooring, and fixture repairs
– Handle emergency maintenance calls and coordinate after-hours responses
– Maintain grounds, common areas, and building exteriors
Administrative Duties
– Maintain detailed work order records and completion documentation
– Order parts and supplies while managing inventory levels
– Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized services
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and property management standards
– Prepare maintenance reports for property management
Required Qualifications
– 3+ years of maintenance experience in residential or commercial properties
– 1+ years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
– Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
– EPA certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days
– Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
– Previous apartment/multifamily maintenance experience
– Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
– Experience with property management software
– Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
Work Schedule
Full-time position with standard business hours Monday through Friday, plus rotating on-call responsibilities for emergency maintenance. Some weekend work may be required.
