    Job Summary:

    Set up and operate a variety of cutting, printing, masking and or laminating machines according to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines. Machines may consist of but not be limited to: Graphtec Cutters, Zund Cutter, Aristo Cutter, Trotec Laser Cutter, Preco Laser Cutter, Electric Trimmer, HP Latex Printers.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform daily machine startup and shutdown
    • Use of digital printing and cutting software applications.
    • Stage raw materials per job order
    • Reads job order to verify substrate and quantity to be printed.
    • Take measurements of first off material to meet QA standards.
    • Solves imaging problems and makes adjustments to mechanical operation of device.
    • General understanding of digital ink systems.
    • Has good understanding of digital substrates.
    • Completes production records as required.
    • Ensures proper cleanliness of machine, work station, and immediate area.
    • May be required to train others to operate machines
    • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
    • Performs other related duties as required by Management.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws. Follows current policies, procedures and instructions as laid out in the Company’s manuals.

    Education and/or Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or graphics production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have good mechanical ability. Requires general to moderate computer knowledge and must have good judgment of color, design, and printing quality.

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general work orders, company policies, procedures, and instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees, and customers.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to accurately use measuring equipment. Must be able to interpret blueprints.

    Mental Effort:

    Requires perceptive thinking of how jobs should be laid out. Ability to adjust to continuous variables, pay close attention to detail and have good organizational skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

    Physical/Manual Dexterity Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee needs good manual dexterity including: sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting from 25 to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and colour vision.


    (3) Machine Operators – Starting Pay: $14.50; Should be available for the first shift (7AM – 3:30PM) and the second shift (3:00PM to 11:30PM).

    1. Must have experience running a Manuel Lathe.

    3. Observe the company safety procedures at all times.

    5. Hand Loading parts and or material.
    6. Set up and use machine tools, lathes, mills, etc. to produce precision metal & non-metal parts.
    7. Produce either large quantity or single run items efficiently, with accuracy & quality.
    8. Read drawings, use basic machine shop math use precision measuring tools to complete assigned work.
    9. Inspecting parts during production using various types of gaging devices such as comparators, hand mikes, plug and depth gages.
    10. Work independently or as a group.
    11. Provide own hand tools.
    12. Provide own machinist tools and toolboxes needed to preform daily task or assignments. Larger precision measuring tools can be checked out of the tool room and must be checked back in.
    13. Plan and prepare each operation from setup through tooling and machining as well as grinding and polishing of each job assignment.
    14. Follow either verbal or written instructions as required.
    15. Preform basic housekeeping as needed in assigned area.
    16. Preform basic preventive maintenance daily on any assigned machine.
    17. Be able to work in an open bay environment.
    18. Keep up with clocking in and out for work and when changing job numbers.
    19. Ensure all machined parts are marked with proper job number.
    20. Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs. on a regular basis.
    21. Must be able to work in a typical shop environment with varying conditions of cold, heat, humidity, noise etc.
    22. Any other duties required by the Supervisor.
    23. Some welding-mig, arc, fluxcore and little tig.
    Pay: $18 – $22/hr.

    Full time job.
    Hours 5:00a-3:00p sometimes 5:00 am. to 5:00 pm.
