Shipping/Receiving SPECIALIST Longview, Texas
Data Entry/Shipping/Receiving SPECIALIST
Will sit at a desk entering in invoices, inventory, shipping/receiving etc.
Must have Shipping and Computer Experience!!!!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving:
o Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
o Update inventory records and ensure accurate documentation of received goods.
o Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule and track deliveries.
o Coordinate unloading and organization of received materials in the warehouse.
2. Shipping:
o Shop each carrier to guarantee the lowest rate.
o Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange transportation.
o Generate shipping labels and documents, such as bills of lading and hot shot delivery paperwork.
o Audit/ Monitor rate quotes and invoices
o Handle all carrier questions, & handle reconsignment and fright claims
3. Quality Control:
o Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and compliance with company standards.
o Report any damaged or defective items and work to resolve issues.
4. Communication:
o Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers regarding shipment status, delays, and any issues that may arise.
o Provide timely updates to teams.
5. Clear to Pay:
o Ensure quality received matches quantity on invoice.
o Verify cost per item is the same as noted on the invoice.
o Verify total on invoice matches the total in the purchase order.
6. Equipment Maintenance:
o Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
o Report equipment maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Full Time
Mon-Friday; 8-5
Pay $17.00 hr.
